Pricing

Free to publish. Free to read. Pay for tutoring when you need it.

We monetize the AI tutor, not the content. That’s the model that makes free, remixable knowledge a real business — for the first time.

For creators

Three ways to monetize what you publish

You decide whether your content is open, gated, or somewhere in between. We take a flat platform share on what flows through.

Open

Content is free. The tutor is paid.

Maximum discoverability. Your lessons are free for anyone to read. Learners pay for AI tutoring on top, and you earn a share of every tutor session on your content.

Best for: building an audience, open textbook authors, teachers who already share on TpT or YouTube.

Freemium

First chapters free. Rest gated.

Sample chapters are free to read and explore with the AI tutor. The remainder is gated. Learners pay for full access. Block-level precision means you decide exactly what’s open and what isn’t.

Best for: most commercial creators — sample drives discovery, paid full access captures revenue.

Closed

Full paywall. Premium product.

Both content and AI tutor behind a paywall. Sold separately or bundled with print or institutional purchases. Generate access codes by the batch and distribute through any channel.

Best for: textbook authors, professional references, premium technical guides.

Revenue share on forks

When another creator forks your lesson and a learner pays for tutoring on the fork, you both earn — split by configurable rules that decay with the depth of the fork. Original authors keep earning on lineage; forkers earn on improvement. This is the part previous OER platforms could never solve. AI tutoring solves it.

For institutions

Schools, training agencies, universities, and OER partners

Institutional plans cover both sides of the loop in one bill: bulk teacher seats for the AI-native authoring tool (so your educators can create, remix, and adapt lessons) and bulk student seats for the AI tutor (so your learners get one-to-one support on every page).

School & district plans

Bulk pricing on both teacher and student seats. Teachers get the full AI-native authoring tool to remix existing lessons and build their own; students get the AI tutor on every page they study. Includes administrator dashboards, single sign-on, FERPA-compliant data handling, and learner-progress reporting for teachers and parents. Volume discounts for full schools, districts, and statewide deployments.

Title I and underserved-school individual teacher accounts: free.

Training agencies & continual learning

For professional-development providers, certification bodies, corporate L&D programs, and continuing-education organizations. Your subject-matter experts use the authoring tool to convert internal materials into AI-tutored courses; your learners pay nothing extra — tutor access is bundled into the institutional seat. Bulk pricing on instructor + learner seats, with cohort management and completion reporting.

University & OER plans

Course-level deployments for individual instructors, department-wide rollouts, and OER office partnerships. Faculty seats include the authoring tool; student seats include AI tutor access on assigned material. Integration with existing OER pipelines and institutional repositories.

Corpus partnerships

For OER organizations, foundations, public broadcasters, and content publishers: we host your corpus free in exchange for the seed content. Revenue share on tutoring usage flows back to you. See for-institutions for details.

Custom enterprise & private deployments

Private deployments, custom integrations, on-prem options for regulated environments (healthcare, finance, defense), and dedicated support for organizations with stricter data or compliance requirements.

FAQ

Common questions about pricing

Is there really a free tier for learners?

Yes. Reading every public lesson is always free, with a small daily AI tutor allowance — one shared budget you can use across any lessons, not a per-page limit. Pro and pay-per-use plans for unlimited tutoring are coming soon.

How much do creators earn?

Creators keep the majority of revenue from tutoring sessions on their content and from gated content sales. The exact platform share depends on volume tier and revenue model; we’re committed to creator economics that meaningfully exceed traditional publisher royalties.

How do fork royalties actually work?

When a learner pays for tutoring on a forked lesson, revenue is split between the original author and the forker by graduated rules that decay with the depth of the fork. The original author keeps earning on lineage; the forker earns on the value of their improvements. We publish the formulas openly.

Are there discounts for students or low-income regions?

When paid plans launch, we’re committed to regional pricing for emerging markets, student discounts for verified university enrollment, and free Pro for teachers in Title I and underserved schools. The platform’s mission is access, not arbitrage.

Can I export my content?

Yes. You can export your lesson text, downloadable PDFs, and structured course data at any time. The AI tutor itself does not export — it’s grounded in your content and shaped by your voice configuration, and only runs on the platform.
